How ready is an organization to think about the future? That’s the question behind our research on foresight readiness: An organization’s ability to anticipate and prepare for change.

This paper looks at foresight through the eyes of practitioners, and focuses on three things that make futures thinking stick:

  • Learning: Building the skills and knowledge for foresight

  • Change Management: Embedding new ways of working

  • Marketing: Getting people to actually buy in

The result: a framework that shows what structural and cultural conditions organizations need if they want foresight to move from theory to practice.
